Objective: We are hosting OMNI Camp for futures traders and analysts of all levels of experience. Oscar will be sharing his knowledge and experience as a 28 year veteran floor trader and analyst. Students will spend (4) four days in an intimate simulated trading floor setting where you will learn valuable elements of trading. Your stay here at OMNI Camp will no doubt enhance your skills as an analyst and trader. Most of all you will gain a proven trading approach along with proper mentality that will help you in your investment future no matter what trading situation you are in. 


Curriculum Breakdown:

  • History of Trading and the exchanges and where we are now. (How it all began.)
  • How and why did the exchanges start?
  • Live trading in the ring! (Open outcry system?)
  • Understanding you role as a speculator.
  • What makes the market move and why do I care.
  • Repetitious patterns form and how you can track them.

Technical Analysis (Fundamentals always come out in the charts.)

  • Fundamental shifts start to show before a big turn.
  • (Show examples of historical events and how the charts saw them first.)
  • (Charts are a visual look at fundamental news and people’s reaction to such.)
  • Why technical analysis works over fundamental
  • Explanation of OMNI recommendation setups. (How to follow them.)

Proper Trading Mentality. (Stops are in Emotions are OUT!)

  • Can my emotions effect my trading?
  • What are some common emotions?
    • Fear (Deer in the headlights...)
    • Greed (I'll wait one more tick!)
    • Ego (I am smarter than the market.)
    • Panic (It will come back I know it?)
  • Key rules in trading and how to apply them.
  • How can I keep my emotions out of trading? (Stick to you plan.)

Trading Execution and Risk management. (Plan your trade/ Trade you plan.)

  • Electronic Platform VS. The outcry system. (Remember the Ring?)
  • How can knowing my platform help me trade better?
  • Why should I have a plan and what are my choices?
  • Should I stick to my plan?
  • When and why should I place my stop?

Outcome:
Trading is risky and can cause substantial financial loss. When you complete OMNI Camp you will develop a solid platform in which to base your trading decisions formulate a trading plan and a sound trading mentality that will help you stick to that plan, minimizing your risk of loss and enhance you overall trading experience.
